At the preschool and kindergarten level, students are just beginning to discover the joy of learning—and we’re here to make that journey exciting and inspiring! Our program blends playful exploration with purposeful skill-building. While we keep the fun going through engaging props and interactive activities, we also introduce more focused training in key skills and disciplines to support each child’s growing confidence and curiosity.Our dance classes for ages 4–6 offer a vibrant introduction to movement and rhythm, combining fun and foundational skills. At MDA House of Dance, we focus on building confidence and preparing young dancers for exciting opportunities, including recitals and for those who want the challenge, competitive dance teams. What is Pre-Combo?
Pre-Combo is a delightful introduction to the world of dance, specifically designed for beginners. This class combines the foundational elements of ballet and tap, offering a well-rounded experience that prepares young dancers for future dance education. It's a fun and engaging way to explore movement, music, and rhythm.
Benefits of our program
At ages 4–6, our young dancers take exciting steps forward as they begin using the ballet barre regularly, center work and explore foundational techniques like basic tap time steps and more advanced jumps and turns.. While the focus sharpens, the fun never fades—we keep classes playful and engaging as we help prepare students for the next leap into our junior-level programming.
Dress Code Guidelines
To maintain a professional and cohesive appearance, we have specific attire requirements for our dancers:
For Ladies

Shoes: Pink Leather Ballet Slippers, Black Slip On Tap Shoes

Attire: Leotard and Tights. Alternatively, leggings or shorts are acceptable.

Hair: Pulled back in a ponytail.
For Gentleman

Shoes: Black Leather Ballet Slippers, Black Slip On Tap Shoes

Attire: Plain Tshirt and Pants.
Registration Guidelines
Tuition & Registration Information

Monthly Tuition: $60.00 (includes weekly class, Spring Costume and Spring Recital Shirt)

Annual Registration Fee: $50.00
-
$10 discount for any additional classes for same dancer or another dancer in the same household.

$15 discount after 3 or more registrations, for any additional classes, within the same family
Tuition is billed on the 1st of each month. Payments may be made via autopay or in person by check or cash no later than one week prior to the due date. Tuition includes all classes within that month as well as costume and participation in our annual recital, studio tshirt, and holiday performances. Tuition is broke down into monthly payments and covers all classes within that month as well as additional events such as recitals and other performnaces. Season begins September 2025-June 2026. You may cancel at anytime however a 30-day written notice is required to withdraw from the program. Notices must be submitted via email to darcy@missdarcysacademy.com. Please note: no refunds will be issued. Discounts do not apply to special teams such as performance team, competition team or special events. If your dancer needs additional help to catch up in a class, a private lesson may be required; MDA staff will advise if needed.

What is Jazzy Acro?
This class is designed to introduce young children (ages 4-6) to the fundamentals of both tumbling and jazz dance in a fun and supportive environment.Jazzy Acro provides a well-rounded introduction to both tumbling and jazz dance for young children. With a focus on individual progress and a fun, energetic atmosphere, students will develop valuable skills and a lifelong appreciation for movement.
Benefits of our program
At ages 4–6, students develop greater body awareness and control, opening the door to more advanced movement skills. From somersaults and cartwheels to pirouettes, specialty jumps, and rhythmic sequences, this stage is full of exciting milestones. Our classes channel this growth into dynamic, age-appropriate challenges—always with a playful spirit and plenty of encouragement!
